Living English by THE BRIDGE INSTITUTE
Our method is essentially built on the " Communicative Approach", which is a method based on the communicative aspects of the language. It recreates real life situations in the classroom that stimulate students to understand and speak right from the start.
The linguistic abilities used are: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.We add another one: Living
Apart from the use of 'guide text books' other activities are carried out, grammar rules, verbal constructions, the articulation of a conversation, pronunciation and many words are also learned and "Living English" becomes the means through which the prospect of learning is increased.
The idea at the base of the 'Living English' courses is to make the lessons more- Involving
- Based on practice and direct experience
- Close to everyday situations
- Varied
The structure which we have devised for a typical course involves varying approaches depending on the different levels of the students. For beginners we immediately build a solid structure of language knowledge which includes a good grammatical basis. Special Activities gradually increase as the course does, enriching and stimulating the natural learning of the language.
We adopt a course book that dictates the guide lines of the course, especially from beginners to intermediates (A1,A2,B1,B2), like a tree trunk from which the branches, represented by the alternative and integrative activities, grow.The percentage of 'Special Activities' increases gradually with the course level.

Additional activities already working like TELEPHONING and OUTDOOR can arise from the experiences during a course, taking into account the teacher’s initiatives or student’s suggestions.
TELEPHONING. Teachers test students of medium and higher levels with real phone calls, contributing to the disappearance of the psychological block and making the conversation more fluent.
CINETEACH.Twenty hours of lessons with films in the original language (only for the English language), with the constant presence of the teacher and with the addition of exercises and conversations on themes relative to the cinema.
